Netflix has revealed the theatrical and streaming release date for the upcoming sequel to "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood," which will see Brad Pitt return as Cliff Booth. Netflix has not given an official title to the film, but instead just called it "David Fincher’s Newest Film," while the production title was "The Adventures of Cliff Booth." Anyway, Netflix has confirmed that it will release exclusively in IMAX theaters on November 25, 2026, worldwide, and will run for at least two weeks. ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 2’ will be released on December 23, 2026, on Netflix worldwide.

Brad Pitt is reprising his Academy Award-winning role as Cliff Booth in The Adventures of Cliff Booth, a standalone sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Picking up eight years later in 1977, the story finds the former stuntman navigating a very different Hollywood—one that has evolved in the wake of the Manson murders and the cultural shifts of the late ’60s and early ’70s. In this new chapter, Booth has stepped into a more enigmatic role as a Hollywood fixer. Directed by David Fincher from a screenplay by Tarantino, the film reunites Pitt with the acclaimed director for the first time since The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The strong ensemble cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Timothy Olyphant (reprising his role as James Stacy), Peter Weller, Holt McCallany, Corey Fogelmanis, JB Tadena, Karren Karagulian, and others. Pitt and Ceán Chaffin are among the producers on the $200 million production. A surprise teaser debuted during the Super Bowl, generating immediate buzz for this rare collaboration that blends Tarantino’s sharp, dialogue-driven storytelling with Fincher’s precise, atmospheric direction.

The production brings together many of David Fincher’s longtime collaborators. Erik Messerschmidt, ASC, serves as director of photography, with Donald Graham Burt as production designer. Kirk Baxter, ACE, edits the film, while Laray Mayfield handles casting. Trish Summerville is the costume designer, Ren Klyce serves as sound designer, and Dave Macomber is the stunt coordinator.

Released on July 26, 2019, Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood is a comedy-drama written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton, a fading television Western actor struggling to stay relevant, and Brad Pitt as his longtime stunt double and best friend Cliff Booth. Set in Los Angeles during the summer of 1969, it follows fading TV Western star Rick Dalton and his longtime stunt double and best friend Cliff Booth as they navigate a rapidly changing Hollywood. While Rick struggles to revive his career, Cliff helps him on set and deals with his own laid-back, sometimes mysterious life. Their stories loosely intersect with the real-life Manson Family cult and the infamous Sharon Tate murders, blending nostalgia, dark humor, and Tarantino’s signature style into an alternate-history tale about friendship, fame, and the end of an era.

Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood grossed $394 million worldwide on a $90–96 million budget, making it a solid commercial success. As of May 2026, it is currently streaming on Hulu in the United States, while it is available on Netflix in the UK, India, and a major part of the rest of the world.
