‘Rumble Through the Dark’ Starring Aaron Eckhart Has Begun Filming

Aaron Eckhart starrer action-thriller movie "Rumble Through the Dark" has officially started filming today in Natchez, Mississippi. The film is based on, “The Fighter,” a novel by Oxford author Michael Farris Smith. 


“Rumble Through the Dark” is set in the dark environment of the Mississippi Delta, where a former bare-knuckle fighter (Eckhart) must win one ultimate fight to pay off his debts to the local mob boss and save his childhood home — the stakes are nothing short of life and death.


The movie is currently filming in Natchez and will also be filming in parts of the Delta region at a later date.

The film also stars Christopher Winchester as Ern alongside Eckhart as Jack Boucher. According to Michael Farris Smith, the film's casting is complete, and the full cast will be unveiled in the coming days.


Smith is adapting his novel and writing the screenplay. Graham Phillips & Parker Phillips (The Bygone), who head Phillips Pictures based in New York City and Los Angeles are directing the movie. At the Virtual Cannes Market, Foresight Unlimited will present the film to foreign buyers. Cassian Elwes of Elevated is producing and will represent the picture in the United States alongside CAA Media Finance.


Elwes is co-producing for the Crooked Letter Picture Company with Cleta Ellington. Executive producers include Foresight's Mark Damon and Tamara Birkemoe, Crooked Letter Picture Company's Tate Taylor and John Norris, and Jere Hausfater.


Eckhart’s credits include London Has Fallen starring Gerard Butler; The Dark Knight alongside Christian Bale; Clint Eastwood’s Sully for Warner Bros.; Rabbit Hole alongside Nicole Kidman; and the upcoming TV Series, The First Lady.
