Disney Plus has revealed the first trailer for The Mandalorian spin-off series, ‘The Book of Boba Fett.’ The new Lucasfilm series, which was teased during the end-credit scene of the second Season finale of The Mandalorian — will release on Wednesday, December 29 on Disney Plus, worldwide.
The trailer begins with Boba putting his helmet on, "I am not a bounty hunter. Jabba ruled with fear. I intend to rule with respect. You were all once captains under Jabba the Hutt. I'm here to make a proposal that's mutually beneficial. Why speak of conflict, when cooperation can make us all rich."
We're brought back to Tatooine and the palace where Jabba the Hutt once reign. But things have changed since the slimy criminal boss was collecting carbonite scoundrels as wall décor and throwing everyone who crossed him into the pit with his pet rancor. This simple creed is punctuated by an empty throne, a tense confrontation, and Boba Fett demonstrating that he isn't hiding behind his dented helmet. With a sidelong glance, it appears that his partner, the courageous Fennec Shand, is ready for whatever this new adventure may bring.
Among the inhabitants of the underworld in the trailer are familiar alien species. But who will turn out to be allies or foes within this hive of filth and villainy?
“If you had spoken such insolence to Jabba, he’d have fed you to his menagerie,” says Fennec Shand played by Ming-Na Wen as the trailer ends.
The thrilling Star Wars adventure, The Book of Boba Fett finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy's underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the region once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime empire.
