The Boys Season 3 Set to Begin Filming Early Next Year

The Boys season 3 is all set to begin the filming, Eric Kripke has given us the update via twitter. As per Kripke, season 3 will begin filming early next year (probably January 2021). He posted the news revealing the script cover of the first episode of season three.

Season 3 Episode 1 is named as "Payback," which has been written by Craig Rosenberg, who has so far written two episodes in each of the seasons of The Boys.

After the premiere of season 2 finale, Kripke has given many interviews to various media outlets and has revealed many things regarding the upcoming season three. One of the major revelations of season 2 was the well-constructed secret of congresswoman Victoria Neuman, on that Kripke says “We worked really hard on that character to really feel like she’s going to be an ally, but from the beginning, we knew that she was the head-popper. Actually, if you watch Episode 1, they’re in the van after Raynor’s head pops, and they’re saying, “Who could do this?” and we cut to Victoria Neuman. So we’ve been dropping in clues from the beginning that it’s her.”

He continues talking on Victoria, “Having broken most of Season 3 I think we have a pretty good idea of where her story goes and why she’s doing what she’s doing. There are some reveals and twists and turns, and similarly to what we’ve done with a lot of other characters from the books, Vic Neuman was a man in the books and he ends up getting deeper and deeper into politics as the comics go on. It’s the frightening notion that there might be a supe heading deep into American politics, which is screwed up enough already. So we start to play Victoria in that way in Season 3.”

“We want people worrying about thinking about the danger Hughie is in: The poor guy is trying to fight the fight in a good way — in a legal way — and literally step one he finds himself working for a secret supe.”

We all know Jensen Ackles has been cast as Soldier Boy in season 3, in the comics he is mostly just kind of bumbling and subservient to Homelander. “We are writing him in this, we’re getting to really talk about the history of Vought because he’s like John Wayne: He’s one of these guys that’s been around for decades of Vought history. And he was Homelander before Homelander, so he’s from a different era, but he’s got the ego and the ambition — it just comes across in a different way because he’s from a different time,” says Kripke.

All the series regulars including Karl Urban, Anthony Starr, Jack Quaid, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Erin Moriarty are returning for season 3. Aya Cash's Stormfront and Claudia Doumit's Victoria Neuman are also set to be the series regulars in season 3 as well.

Season 3 of The Boys is likely to return on Amazon Prime Video in March 2022. So, guys, it's gonna be a long wait.
