The first episode of Season 4 titled, "Department of Dirty Tricks" is directed by Philip Sgriccia and David Reed.

Earlier, Season 4 promoted Cameron Crovetti, who plays Homelander’s son Ryan to a series regular, confirming that he will have a much bigger role to play this season. In Season 3, Ryan decided to stay with Homelander even after he blasts a protestor in front of the whole crowd.
