HBO has revealed a new trailer and premiere date for its upcoming series, THE TIME TRAVELER’S WIFE, which is based on the book by Audrey Niffenegger. HBO’s six-episode first season of THE TIME TRAVELER’S WIFE will release on May 15, 2022. 


The sci-fi drama series will air on HBO and be available to stream on HBO Max. In India, It will release on Disney+ Hotstar.


The trailer shows how complicated it is being a Time Traveler's Wife, whose husband suddenly disappears leaving his clothes behind. The trailer is narrated by Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie, who is playing Clare Abshire, the wife in this series, and Theo James as Henry DeTamble, the Time Traveler. Henry describes his condition as "It's not a superpower, It's what's wrong with me.


The series follows an intricate and magical love story, adapted by Steven Moffat from the much-loved novel by Audrey Niffenegger and directed by David Nutter, THE TIME TRAVELER’S WIFE tells the story of Clare and Henry, and a marriage with a problem... time travel.


The series also stars Desmin Borges as Gomez, Natasha Lopez as Charisse, Caitlin Shorey as Young Claire Abshire, Everleigh McDonell as Young Claire Abshire, Michael Park as Philip Abshire, Jaime Ray Newman as Lucille Abshire, Taylor Richardson as Alicia Abshire, Peter Graham as Mark Abshire, Brian Altemus as Young Henry DeTamble, Jason David as Young Henry DeTamble, Kate Siegel as Annette DeTamble, Josh Stamberg as Richard DeTamble, Chelsea Frei as Ingrid, Marcia DeBonis as Nell, Will Brill as Ben, and Spencer House as Jason.


Previously, The Time Traveler's Wife was adapted into a feature film by Warner Bros. in 2009. The film stars Rachel McAdams as Clare Abshire and Eric Bana as Henry DeTamble. The film received a mixed response from the critics and didn't impress the audience.


An HBO and Warner Bros. Television production, The series is executive produced by Steven Moffat (“Doctor Who,” “Sherlock”), Sue Vertue, and Brian Minchin through Hartswood Films; Joseph E. Iberti; and David Nutter.
