I have some news, some mead to spill:
After all the months we’ve been apart
It’s time for production to restart.
The Witcher and his bard – who’s flawless,
Will reunite on set 17 August.
Netflix had earlier shut down all productions in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. “The Witcher” is filmed at Arborfield studios outside London. When actor Kristofer Hivju tested positive for coronavirus, the studio was shut down and went through a deep clean of the set to prevent further infection.
“The Witcher” is a huge success for the streamer with some 76 million homes watching the first season. Based on the bestselling book series by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, Henry Cavill stars in the series which has previously been adapted into a hit video game franchise.
Before The Witcher, it was announced that Universal’s Jurassic World: Dominion will be the first major studio movie to re-start filming in the UK on July 6 at Pinewood Studios.
