After the dogshit ending of The Boys, the Vought universe is moving to the World War era in the past. The first trailer shown at the screening of The Boys finale in theaters has been leaked, and so far, the reactions have been all positive. The leaked trailer of ‘Vought Rising’ shows the return of Soldier Boy, Stormfront, and Bombsight.

The leaked teaser trailer for Vought Rising begins with a classic 1950s-style propaganda voiceover - “God blessed us with these extraordinary heroes.” It quickly dives into the faster montage of violence, hero introductions, and the noir mystery elements. We see a man in military gear screaming in agony as fire/explosions erupt around him (red-lit, helmet flying off).  Fistfights and beatdowns in smoke-filled rooms.  A large metal vault door swings open; a man in a white shirt steps out looking shell-shocked.  Quick cuts of other costumed supes in action (we see brief glimpses of Bombsight, Torpedo, and Private Angel in their retro suits).

The trailer gives us a new look at Soldier Boy, who is clean-shaven, younger-looking Ben in his updated green-and-gold suit with a half-face mask (no helmet). “If you’re working on something… maybe I can help. I want to fight for the flag. I want to be a hero.”  Aya Cash shows up as a dark-haired Clara (pre-blonde Stormfront era) with a subtle, sinister smile. She’s watching Soldier Boy intently during what feels like a tense private conversation. The implication is clear: he just confided in the wrong person.

Overall, this leaked trailer feels darker and more serious (no obvious jokes or gags), leaning into bloody violence, moral ambiguity, and corporate horror right from the start. It screams “twisted murder mystery” with early Compound V experiments as the core hook.

The story is set in the 1950s and unfolds as a twisted murder mystery exploring the dark origins of Vought International (the corrupt corporation behind the supes). It follows the early exploits of Soldier Boy and the diabolical maneuvers of Stormfront (then going by Clara Vought). The leak has fans buzzing about Jensen Ackles’ fresh “heroic” look, the 1950s production design, and how dark the Vought origin story is going to get. It’s only a teaser, so it doesn’t spoil the major plot, but it perfectly sets up the “how Vought really began” vibe.

The cast of the series includes Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy (Ben), Aya Cash as Clara Vought / Stormfront — reprising her role from The Boys Season 2, Mason Dye as Bombsight, Will Hochman as Torpedo, and Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel. Additional recurring roles include KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith.

Vought Rising stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, who also serve as producers. Paul Grellong serves as showrunner and executive producer. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Phil Sgriccia, Jim Barnes, Mark Winemaker, and Michaela Starr also serve as executive producers on the series. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.

Vought Rising will be released in early 2027 on Amazon's Prime Video worldwide. The production of the first season wrapped in March this year.
