Warner Bros. has released 2nd official trailer for “Wonder Woman 1984” at DC FanDome virtual convention (watch above). Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristin Wiig, and Pedro Pascal were joined by director Patty Jenkins at the panel where the new trailer was unveiled.

The trailer revealed a more extensive look at the film’s two villains, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Ann Minerva aka Cheetah, and Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord. It shows Gal Gadot faces off with Kristen Wiig's Cheetah in her new Wonder Woman costume.

The first trailer was released back in December 2019. “Wonder Woman 1984” left its original June release date in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and is currently scheduled to open on Oct. 2, 2020.

There was no discussion on the panel regarding the film getting released on VOD, so Warner Bros. is fully confident to release the film in theaters but whether it's going to be on schedule will be interesting to see.

We all worked so hard to bring something that would be a big visual spectacular. So we’re going to stick it out — we believe in putting it in the cinema,” Jenkins said in the panel, before pointedly avoiding mentioning a specific release date. “I can’t wait for the movie to come out soon!

We’ve been so dedicated to bringing you another amazing chapter of Wonder Woman’s story,” said Gal Gadot. “It’s bigger, grander, w/ every detail perfected. We busted our butts off for this film and we can’t wait to share it with you in theaters.

The “Wonder Woman 1984” panel kicked off the first wave of DC FanDome events that are unfolding in virtual panels throughout the day. A follow-up event largely focusing on TV will be held on September 12.
