Netflix has revealed the first teaser trailer for Tim Burton's Addams Family Series ‘Wednesday.’ Created by Al Gough and Miles Millar, the one-hour & eight-episode series will premiere later this year on Netflix.

The coming-of-age series, written by Al Gough and Miles Millar and directed by Burton, is a supernaturally laced mystery that follows Wednesday Addams through her years at Nevermore Academy. That's where she tries to perfect her new psychic gift, stop a terrible killing spree terrorizing the local village, and solve the supernatural mystery that consumed her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and highly complicated relationships at Nevermore.

The trailer (watch above) shows Wednesday's unconventional fish-feeding methods, spooky dance skills, and impressive cello abilities. We also get a quick tour of Nevermore and meet Enid (Emma Myers), Wednesday's polar opposite roommate. Living with such a bright personality may appear to be a nightmare for the Addams Family storm cloud, but the succession of killings in her midst is giving her other ideas. "I think I'll like it here," Wednesday says.

The series stars Ortega as Wednesday, Gwendoline Christie as Larissa Weems, Christina Ricci as Nevermore dorm mom Marilyn Thornhill, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene otinger, Georgie farmer as Ajax Petropolis, Naomi j. Ogawa as Yoko Tanaka, Percy Hynes White as Xavier Thorpe, Jamie Mcshane as sheriff Donovan Galpin, and Riki Lindhome plays dr. Valerie Kinbott.

Burton executive produces with Gough and Millar, who will act as series showrunners. Wednesday is produced by MGM Television, which owns the underlying IP rights. The executive producers also include Andrew Mittman for 1.21 (The Addams Family, Alphas), Kevin Miserocchi (Tee and Charles Addams Foundation), Kayla Alpert (Code Black), Jonathan Glickman for Glickmania (Addams Family 2), and Gail Berman (The Addams Family).
