A new MCU project (series or movie) with Samuel L. Jackson in the role of Nick Fury is currently in development at Disney Plus. The plot details for the series are not available as of now.
The project is in its early stages and details are being kept under wraps, but, according to the sources at Variety, Kyle Bradstreet (Mr. Robot) will write and executive produce, and Marvel Studios will produce.
If the project is ordered to series, it would be Jackson’s first series and first regular appearance on a small screen.
Jackson signed a nine-film contract to portray Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His first appearance as Nick Fury came in 2008’s Iron Man. He has appeared in almost every MCU film, most recently in Spider-Man: Far From Home, Avengers: Endgame, and Captain Marvel. He also recurred as the character in ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The last time fans saw Fury was in the post-credits scene of “Far From Home,” where he was onboard a Skrull ship somewhere in deep space.
Jackson is one of the most iconic actors of modern times. He is known for his frequent collaborations with Quentin Tarantino, most notably Jackson’s Oscar-nominated performance in “Pulp Fiction.”
Bradstreet most recently served as aa writer and executive producer on the Emmy-winning USA Network series Mr. Robot.
